Chevy Equinox scores roughly in the middle of this particular pack, said Consumer Reports' Jake Fisher. "It uses a lot of gas and it's pretty slow," he said. "But it's way roomier than the competition."
On the other hand, Fisher notes that most better-scoring SUVs are also more expensive.
