Practically every automaker in the world sells a four-door, so Detroit can hardly afford to keep mediocre products that reinforce memories of the bad old days. Both the Chevrolet Impala and the Chrysler 200 have remained at dealers long past their sell-by date. None too soon, the 200 gets a Fiat makeover in 2013, and the Impala morphs into a stretched Malibu.
