The tech giant continues to revamp its business strategy. In January HP announced a major board shakeup, with four directors not running for re-election and five new members coming in. The move followed criticism over the company's handling of the departure of Mark Hurd, its former CEO. The company called it a step to "further diversify" the talent on its board.

It's diversifying its product offerings too. HP released its highly anticipated webOS-powered HP TouchPad tablet the same month, as well as two webOS-powered smartphones, the Pre3 and the Veer.
