Ron Paul, the physician turned congressman turned presidential candidate, reported income of $91,185 from a medical pension, and holds a diverse list of assets ranging from a northern Virginia condo to mining company stocks.

Paul, the author of a book titled The Case for Gold, backs up his intellectual love of the shiny stuff: His portfolio is saturated with mining and metal stocks like Vista Gold Corp, Hecla Mining and Allied Nevada Gold.

Paul is relatively debt-free, and lists only one loan from the First National Bank of Lake Jackson, for between $250,001 and $500,000.
