31. Disaster scams
"Bad guys supposedly helping those injured in the tsunami are targeting donors. To help disaster victims, give to established charities such as the Red Cross."
32. Grandchild-in-trouble scams
"Defrauders claiming to represent grandkids call or send an e-mail that they're in trouble, beg for emergency wire transfers, and ask Grandma not to tell the parents. Don't fall for it."
33. Membership scams
"Check your credit card bill for small amounts of $5 or $10 for subscriptions or memberships you never signed up for, often after buying something online. Dispute the charges with the vendor or card issuer."
