Apple has done more good for my life than any other single thing, besides my family of course. Apple taught me how to write my first business plan, create a spreadsheet, design CAD diagrams, e-mail, edit 20 years of old movies, apply for my daughter's private school and more.
I hated paying more for Apple products, but it was always a relief when I saw others struggling to get a printer or a monitor to work. That's something Mac users almost never have to deal with. I just asked myself how much my time was worth.
I tried PCs on several occasions, but I'd inevitably get the "Blue Screen of Death." Or I'd buy a camera and the booklet would include pages and pages of PC instructions, but just a few sentences for the Mac instructions. To this day, I've never had a virus on my Mac. That's enough to keep me buying Apple.
My biggest regret is not taking my own advice a step further and buying some Apple stock at $15. It's selling for $500 a share some 10 years later!
Steve Jobs took on a huge challenge when he returned to Apple. How many people in the world could have pulled that off? Without Steve's leadership, I think the company won't be able to survive and grow. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Steve, and thanks for making my life a whole lot better. I couldn't have done it without you.
