The success of Apple's iPad and Amazon's Kindle Fire have proven that
one size needn't fit all. With component prices continuously dropping and consumer demand for different screen sizes, expect manufacturers to be more daring with the form factors of their devices. They'll offer devices like ASUS's Transformer Prime, a powerful tablet that turns into a laptop by attaching a special keyboard dock. "Capabilities will be based on what people actually want to do, not limited as much based on the constraints of manufacturing or technology," predicts Tony Salvador, Director of Intel's Experience Insights Lab.
