Toyota Prius Plug-in
Toyota Prius Plug-in

The Prius is a favorite with the folks over at Facebook rival Google, but this one takes things a step further by adding a plug. At a starting price of $32,000, it costs about the same as a Nissan Leaf but is even better. Or it's not as good, depending on how you look at it.

Unlike the Leaf, the Prius Plug-in burns gasoline after driving on pure electricity for about a dozen miles. But thanks to that gasoline engine, you don't have to worry about running out of charge.

Also, since it looks like a regular Prius, it's about as "not showy" as any plug-in car gets. It's like plastic sandals with batteries.
