"The future is so boring," says a lady in a crowded line outside a store in Samsung's first Super Bowl ad. Perhaps she's nostalgic for Apple's famous Orwellian-themed Super Bowl spot from 1984. After all, Soft Cell's '80's version of "Tainted Love" is playing.
These queued-up consumers are all pecking at their digital devices in anticipation of the next-gen gizmo, whatever that may be. But suddenly, one of the tech geeks has an epiphany: The next big thing is already here.
That thing is, apparently, the Galaxy Note, Samsung's self-described "revolutionary super phone."
