The onetime Silicon Valley executive (he did stints at Sun and Hyperion, among others) now leads a publicly traded supplier of telecom software and tech. Customers include China's three largest state-owned phone companies. Revenue climbed 40% to $481 million, and Zhang is pushing into nearby markets like Nepal.
