In the Northern part of the Las Vegas metro area, huge tracts of land went from desert to development in the late 1990s and 2000s. But as quickly as homes went up in Vegas, things came crashing down.
The city claims six of the top 10 foreclosure zip codes on RealtyTrac's list. This particular zip code -- 89031 in North Las Vegas -- is number one.
At its peak in 2007, this home was valued at $214,000, according to an estimate by Zillow. Now, it's being sold for just under $80,000.
Just six years old, this home features 1,600-square-feet of living space, a backyard, a two-car garage and a community pool. It's in very good condition and needs just a few cosmetic improvements, said agent Howard Dew.
