It's the Impa-Bel-Vette! Actually, it's a modern Chevrolet Corvette modified to look like a 1957 Bel Aire from the front and a '58 Impala around the middle but with a '59 Impala's tail fins. The whole mixed up body is made from carbon fiber composites. The car is powered by a 430 horsepower 6.2-liter V8.
This is just one of the many very unusual cars that will be sold at the collector car auctions in Pebble Beach this year. Not all are expected to sell for huge sums, although some will. Mecum estimates the Franken-Vette will sell for about $90,000 to $120,000, which is a whole lot more than your average 2008 Corvette.
