Paint scratches reveal different colors -- most notably, bright yellow -- underneath this car's blue paint. That's because the CSX2000 was repainted multiple times before being shown to the press on different occasions. That way, it was made to seem that Shelby's little car company had already built multiple cars when, really, there was just this one.
Tests by Road & Track magazine at the time revealed the Cobra could go from zero to 60 miles an hour in 4.2 seconds -- awfully fast by today's standards, eye-popping in those days -- and had a top speed of 153 miles per hour.
