The Oracle of Omaha is an investing legend. But several of Berkshire Hathaway's biggest investments are off to a lousy start in 2015. Will shareholders complain at the annual meeting in Omaha on Saturday?
Big Blue has been Big Green this year. IBM (IBM) is the best-performing of Berkshire's Big Four investments in 2015. (Wells, Coke and AmEx are the others.)
IBM is among the more mature companies in tech. Skeptics have claimed that there's not much in the way of revenue growth.
But IBM continues to buy back stock in droves. It pays a dividend that yields an impressive 2.7%.
And the image of IBM as being a tech geezer may be a bit unfair. IBM is partnering with Apple to sell corporate iPhones and iPads. They also just announced plans to sell iPads designed for seniors in Japan.

It's a big player in cloud computing too -- even though Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon (AMZN) get more attention for their cloud business.
IBM will be showing off its Watson technology -- the supercomputer famous for beating humans in Jeopardy -- at the Berkshire shareholder meeting. Maybe Watson and Warren should have a stock-picking contest.
