The new Miata has a nicely functional interior although not everyone will love the screen's twisty-knob interface, an idea borrowed from luxury cars. The best thing is the stereo speakers in the headrests, another luxury concept brought to this lower-cost model. It makes top-down stereo listening on the highway a meaningful reality. And that top, by the way, can be raised and lowered with just one hand without leaving the driver's seat. That's a neat trick.
