The latest version of the Miata has a nice looking, more sophisticated, design inside and out. It is also a terrific car to drive, as Miatas have always been. It feels light, responsive, intuitive, direct and more than quick enough to be plenty of fun. In this latest iteration, Mazda engineers have tuned out some of the frantic edginess that, in past versions, might have made the idea of a long drive in the Miata a little daunting. Some people might miss the fact that the steering and suspension now lack that playful edge.
