An early adopter of the Franken Food trend, KFC unleashed the "Double Down," a bacon and cheese sandwich that uses two fried chicken filets as a bun, back in 2010.
But the "Double Down" was ahead of its time. KFC pulled it from the menu shortly after it debuted, only to bring it back for a limited time in 2014.
Now, in another sign that hotdogs are the new bacon, KFC has produced the "Double Down Dog." Yes, it's a hotdog wrapped in fried chicken instead of a bun.
Strangely, the chicken/hotdog combo is not available in the United States. KFC is only selling it for a limited time in the Philippines.
