Burger King tested the Chicken Waffle sandwich in certain regions as part of its normal market research. But the company did not have plans to introduce it more widely.
Mixing chicken and waffles is not new. Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles, a soul food institution in Los Angeles, has been serving its titular dish since 1975.
