20. Unilever

top new grad employers

New grads who want to scale the career ladder fast may find Unilever appealing. The consumer-products giant offers a Future Leaders program, which trains recruits to take on managerial positions within three years of starting their career.

F or green-minded grads, Unilever's Sustainable Living Plan is another lure. The program, designed to reduce the company's environmental impact as it grows, is wide-ranging. For example, employees with ideas for water conservation, waste reduction and similar projects can get money to pursue them through a €15 million ($16.5 million) fund. Meanwhile, the company has set a goal of sourcing 100% of its agricultural raw materials sustainably by 2020.

To win hiring managers over, demonstrate adaptability, curiosity and resilience and show that you're results-driven, according to the company. --A.L.
