Shoppers flocked to these stores on Black Friday, looking for deals on everything from lingerie to laptops.
Sears put a two-pronged strategy in place for its Black Friday deals.
One of the earliest stores to open, Sears started offering its deals at 8 p.m. on Thursday -- but it also reserved some 4 a.m. Friday doorbuster deals to bring on a second wave of customers.
Among the deals luring in customers were a $120 set of pans for $50 and Craftsman drills for 50% off. The top deal of the night, however, was the 32-inch, flat screen TV for $92 (the model varied by store).
Store managers said many products flew off the shelves at the fastest pace since the recession.
Sears spokesman Tom Aiello said lines at most stores ranged from 300 to 400, although a Denver location had more than 1,000. He said this year brought more shoppers who were really just there to pick up goods they already bought online from Sears. Those online deals went active a 8 p.m., too.
