The Library of the City of Wheaton This county seat, celebrating its sesquicentennial in 2009, is home to a diverse group of organizations, from the college that bears its name to the national headquarters of the Theosophical Society in America.
Most Wheaton residents are more interested in the 800-acre park district, which houses a free-admission zoo, two swimming pools and a 27-hole golf course. It also boasts the Wheaton Public Library, frequently ranked one of the top 10 in the nation. And the old courthouse of Wheaton is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
