But if you like organic gardening, you're in luck. Rodale, the family-owned publisher of health-oriented books and magazines, has been based in town for generations. (It has laid employees off during the downturn, however.) A vibrant Sunday farmer's market has everything from cafes to a dog day-care center. The town will be celebrating its 250th anniversary in August by completely renovating the triangular town center to include a central park. --R.G. Is Emmaus a great town, or what?
