More than 50 Fortune 500 companies have headquarters, major facilities, or offices in the region, including AT&T, Pfizer, Honeywell, and Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals. True, Montville lacks a proper downtown. But its location--it’s an hour away from New York City, the beaches of the Jersey shore, and the Mountain Creek Ski Resort--help to make up for that. --N.D.
