NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Madison Avenue has found its "gangsta" edge with 50 Cent, who is set to promote everything from water to watches, a newspaper said Tuesday.

The rapper, whose given name is Curtis Jackson, will begin his career as a pitchman this week in ads for his own flavor of upscale Glaceau Vitaminwater, the grape-flavored Formula 50, said USA Today.

The company will use the artist's multi-city Anger Management tour with Eminem to hand out Formula 50 samples.

After topping the charts with tracks including Candy Shop and In Da Club, 50 Cent will also come out with a line of watches under his G-Unit brand with Jacob & Co., a custom jeweler to the stars, the newspaper said. According to the report, the watches will sell from $299 to $3,500, and one of them will include an MP3 player.

The man known for racy lyrics and sexy music videos will also appear in ads for Reebok, the newspaper said.

"He is very much into sports and staying in shape," Que Gaskins, Reebok's global head of lifestyle and entertainment, told the newspaper. "He is an athlete trapped in a rapper's body."

50 Cent's famously tough upbringing in Queens, New York, which included time as a drug dealer and bullet wounds, will be featured in a book due out in August From Pieces to Weight and in a film Get Rich or Die Tryin' due out in November, USA Today said.
