Ford Stealth Police Interceptor
Ford Stealth Police Interceptor
Ostensibly aimed at the police market, a more likely reason for Ford's creation of the Stealth Police Interceptor is, simply, that it looks very cool. It's not often that a Taurus manages to be this intimidating. Police cars are serious business for Ford, though, which is currently the number one seller of police cars in America.

For this specialized version of the new Taurus-based Police Interceptor, Ford says, its designers drew inspiration from the famous SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. The Stealth Interceptor is lower than the standard car. Adding to its shadowy appearance, all but the outsides of the car's 22-inch wheel rims are blacked out. The lights are also surrounded in black so they remain largely hidden until switched on.
