Trusty trip-planning site MapQuest got a makeover a few years ago, and it's been rolling out gas price tools ever since. Gasprices.mapquest.com lets users type in their addresses to find nearby stations' prices, and it also posts the city's highest and lowest prices per gallon. The page's gas price calculator computes how much you'll spend on gas during your trip.
MapQuest's main site also offers fueling options. Enter your start and end addresses, choose the shortest or fastest option, and watch the route appear. Then, click a button to display every gas station close to your route.
Unfortunately, the stations' prices aren't listed with this option. But if you see a spot you'd like to hit on your trip, simply click to drag the route over and include the station on your way.
