Some people wear their heart on their sleeve. Southwest Airlines (LUV) wears it on its company logo.
Its LUV ticker symbol -- a reference to its home base of Love Field in Dallas -- is also meant to show how it feels about its customers
The airline is a favorite of investors too. The stock was the best performer in the S&P 500 in 2014, and it continues to trade at a relatively low valuation of just 13 times earnings forecasts.
Lower oil prices are clearly helping it, along with other airlines. But Southwest has always been the best in class. Unlike nearly all of its rivals, it's never filed for bankruptcy.
