Spanish businessman Amancio Ortega Gaona became Europe's richest man after founding the successful global fashion chain Zara in 1975.
Zara is now part of a wider group of fashion labels under parent company, Inditex (IDEXY), along with brands Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti and Bershka.
