About a half hour from midtown Manhattan, Clarkstown offers an escape from the skyscrapers with a retreat into High Tor State Park. The park offers picnicking, swimming and picturesque hiking trails with views of the Hudson River.

Not so into the outdoors? Clarkstown also offers a wide range of shopping from the Palisade Mall, Nanuet Mall, and the recent renovation of Main Street in each of the town's four hamlets.
