This growing town is 30 minutes away from Minneapolis and St. Paul--close enough for commuting but far enough to maintain a rural atmosphere. The townís crown jewel is the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park, 3,500 acres at the center of Lino Lakes. The park offers a beach, picnic areas, and seven connected lakes that locals canoe through. Many homes have large yards that look out on the water, affording calming views and a sense of privacy. Despite the country feel, major shopping centers are easily accessible. --A.W.Subscribe to Money Magazine
