Serwer: Take the Blizzard, avoid the juice
When it's Buffett it has to be good, but Marvel and Hansen look set for a fall.

NEW YORK (Fortune) -- Okay we need this Alaska pipeline shutdown like an abscessed tooth! Of course the big news will be the Fed announcement on Tuesday, 2:15 Eastern. Be there! And this: Sweden's economy saw its highest growth in six years... Time to move?

BERKSHIRE: Yup, as in Warren Buffett. The company reported profits were up 62 percent in the second quarter. Investment income was a big contributor as was higher insurance premiums, as in hurricanes. Berkshire A is about $97,000. Berkshire B is around $3,000. When is it a good time to buy BRK (Charts)? Anytime! Buffett's giving his stock to the Gates Foundation? Good time! Buffett's eating a Blizzard? Good time! You get the point. When BRK.A breaks $100K, I'll buy you a Dilly bar.

MARVEL: Yup, as in comics. Earnings fell 37 percent due to lower licensing sales. Wall Street expected that, but still t'ain't good. Of course this company used to be the play thing of billionaire Ronald O. Perelman, but MVL (Charts) got its freedom and has marched from low single digits to $18 this decade. My problem here is that I think this whole business of comics and heroes and movies is saturated. Can you imagine more Spidey movies? Ditto with Hulk and X-men. The bloom is off the rose....

HANSEN NATURAL: Yup, as in hippie juices and such. Stock looks like it's going to get whacked! Second quarter profits climbed 86 percent, but either it wasn't good enough, or traders had a game plan to sell on the news. They did a four for one split in June. Now HANS (Charts) has fallen from $50 to $40. Could be in the low thirties today. I warned you about this one. Drink the juice. Avoid the stock.

Loose Change: Okay so I saw my first Valero gas station yesterday. Sweet (crude!) Price was low low low....VLO (Charts) is the gas company... Did y'all see Talledaga Nights? Yeesh!... Here's Ashley's mini review of 'Devil Wears Prada': "I thought it was pretty good. I liked it better than the book, being a happy-ending type of girl that I am...the movie made the Meryl Streep character have at least some sort of heart or warmth, and they even had a little moment at the end -- the book was all bitch all the way. ALSO, very cool clothes and fun opening scene."
