BitTorrent inks huge movie and TV dealsFile-sharing company will offer new film releases on the same day as DVD release from studios like 20th Century Fox, Lions Gate and Paramount Pictures.NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- File-sharing company BitTorrent has announced a slew of partnerships with major film and TV studios, allowing it to sell in-demand titles like "South Park" and "SpongeBob Squarepants." The company will offer selections from News Corp.'s (Charts) 20th Century Fox, G4, Kadokawa Pictures, Lions Gate (Charts), Viacom's (Charts) MTV Networks, Palm Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Starz Media. Movies that will be available on the service include "X-Men: The Last Stand," "Ringu," "Saw III," "13 Tzameti," "Mission: Impossible III," and "Ghost in the Shell." BitTorrent had previously announced download deals with major players like Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Koch Entertainment. Movies will be available for purchase on BitTorrent on the same day that the DVDs comes out. Palm Pictures will even allow people to purchase some full-length feature films before they are released to the theater or DVD.
