Hummer HX concept
If it isn't already too late, GM should consider producing something like the Jeep Wrangler-sized HX concept, unveiled at this year's Detroit Auto Show. If there's life left in Hummer, it could stand ready to build interest in a new generation of GM's off-road brand.

A "strategic review" is underway, and it seems like GM is getting ready to cut Hummer loose. Some analysts think GM would be wrong to ditch the brand, though.

Of all of GM's brands, Hummer has the purest and clearest identity.Whether it be love or rage, the Hummer name alone draws passionate responses.

Because of high gas prices, Hummer is really on the outs these days.Sales are truly nominal. But if gas eventually stabilizes and even comes back down a bit, GM might regret selling Hummer.
