A Palin connection in the wine arena has turned out to be a boon for a Chilean brand named - you guessed it - Palin (pronounced pay-LEEN). Some diehard liberals have reportedly boycotted the wine, but at Appellation Wine and Spirits in New York, owner Scott Pactor has filled orders all over the United States, mostly in Red States. He's had the $13 Palin on his shelf since June and was selling about two cases a week. It recently became the store's bestseller with customers in just one week gobbling up 80 cases of the highly coveted Syrah (Sarah, Syrah, get it?). So where is the Obama Malbec or Biden Riesling? Pactor said he hasn't found anything yet. "It would be wonderful," he said, "if we could have a balanced wine ticket."
