General manager Tomas Romano says Madoff came in several times a month during the summers, generally dining with a small group of family members or friends. He also recalls that Madoff frequently made the rounds at other tables.
"He was never very fussy. He was very low profile," says Romano. "If the area where he wanted to sit was full, he'd say, 'Tomas, I'll wait.' And he'd wait very patiently for a table."
