You'll want the Solstice GXP and so will anyone else looking at it in the future.
The GXP's turbocharged engine provides an impressive 260 horsepower and, more importantly, 260 foot-pounds of torque to yank the lightweight little roadster away from stop signs and through the curves. It also has a sport-tuned suspension that gives it a harsher ride on rough pavement but makes it a joy to push through fast curves.
The Solstice's seating position puts the driver's seat a little closer to the back wheels than the front. Winding roads produce a feeling something like being in the last car on a roller coaster as you whip into and out of turns with the back end of the car wanting pull to the outside. The car's electronic stability control, which helps the driver keep the car under control, has a "competition" setting that allows for a little more skidding when you want it.
