The bill provides up to $1,500 in retraining, $1,500 in relocation money, and three years of unemployment assistance if you lose your job as a result of the changes.
The bill also offers direct subsidies to industries like steel, chemicals, concrete and others that are susceptible to competition from industries in countries that don't have a price on carbon, in an effort to prevent layoffs in these areas.
