Wendy Knight: My 20-year-old daughter has been studying abroad in Greece for the semester, so I'm going to meet her in Italy and celebrate Christmas in Rome. My beau will join us later and we'll all head to Florence for New Year's. We're not putting up a tree or exchanging presents--Italy will be our gift to ourselves. We'll pick up trinkets along the way and give them as presents to friends and family when we get back.
