Average weekly savings: $15-$20
"I used to think that coupons were unnecessary for my lifestyle at the time, as a single woman with a decent paying job. I ate out when I felt like it, went grocery shopping when I felt like it and pretty much had a good-sized disposable income before I decided to pursue my dream and open my own PR firm. That, coupled with the economy, has given me a new tune. Groceries are not cheap especially when you are on a budget and having coupons readily accessible helps protect my bottom line."
Her strategy: "I buy the Sunday paper and stick to it. I go through it diligently before each grocery visit. I embrace the value of coupons whole-heartedly and plan to adopt the practice no matter my income status."
