Description: This compact cottage has many homey, rustic features. There are slanted, beamed and narrow-boarded ceilings in many of the rooms, half-timbered walls and a family room complete with wood stove. The kitchen was recently remodeled with glossy cherry cabinets and there's a cozy dining area.
Outside, on the half-acre lot, are flower beds and raised vegetable beds, as well as a garden shed. There's also a good-sized barn with indoor plumbing and a knotty-pine paneled great room that can be used for entertaining and for extra guest accommodations. There's a smaller outbuilding that houses an office and storage.
The house is about two miles from the old whaling port of Edgartown, where the movie Jaws was shot. Despite that, people still swim on the Vineyard and the house is less than two miles from prime beaches.
