Oprah has been the brain and brawn behind many careers: She first meets Phil McGraw, left, in 1995 when she hires his legal consulting firm to help her with a trial. He subsequently appears on her show and soon becomes a regular. Her company, Harpo Inc., creates and owns a financial stake in Dr. Phil and The Dr. Oz Show, which features another Oprah regular, cardiothoracic surgeon and author Dr. Mehmet Oz.
