Rosenfeld has proved himself a savvy retailer: The footwear business's stock has climbed 72% over the past year; sales rose 36% in the last quarter alone. The Michigan native and Amherst College grad left his job as a banker at Peter J. Solomon for the shoemaker in 2005 and started as an apprentice to Madden himself, spending the first two months in his office at a side table. Since becoming CEO in 2008, he has aggressively expanded the company's portfolio, adding seven new brands.
