The Google exec oversees 200 product managers and all search products, which generate some $16 billion in revenue. New projects this year included launching instant search and the redesign of web search and Google Images.

Google announced on October 12 that Mayer would be taking on a new role as head of the company's location and local services. She has also been added to Google's operating committee, where high-level company decisions are made.
