I'm a single mother and will unfortunately be spending more than $2,000 of my refund on medical expenses this year, and the rest will go to my children.
I'll give about $1,000 to my daughter and her husband, who are struggling to pay their bills. My daughter is pregnant and is going to have to try to find a new job when her husband -- who is in the army -- is transferred to Hawaii in a month. Of course, being five months pregnant sure doesn't make it easy to find work.
My youngest daughter is a junior at a local university and she needs my help too, so I'll put whatever is left of my refund toward her tuition or books. And that will definitely use up the rest of it!
