First job: Marketing director

Second job: Sell anti-aging products

Why I do it: A year ago, I joined a software company at a 40% pay decrease. My situation is not dire, but I have 10 horses that I still have to feed, two kids that I want to keep in piano lessons and playing sports, car payments to make and credit cards to pay off.

To make up the difference, I did something I never thought I'd do and started direct selling on the side. I'm working during the day but at night I call people and promote a line of anti-aging products. I'm spending about 15 hours a week and a little bit of time on the weekends. It took me a year, but now we're on our feet again.
