$102,000 in cancellations: Inn on Destin Harbor

This independent hotel was on track for a "record year" in 2010, according to owner Charles Noonan -- until the oil spill.
Destin's beaches are oil-free, but tourists have shied away from the Emerald Coast, which is famous for tropical teal waters and sparkling white sand. Noonan racked up six figures in cancelled rooms in May and June, and occupancy rates remained 30% down in July compared to last year.
But the Inn was booked solid for the last weekend of July. Noonan hopes that's a harbinger of better times.
