Sales drop 15%: Cold Stone Creamery

Last July, franchise owner Paul Barcus sold $120,000 worth of ice cream at the Destin Commons Cold Stone Creamery. This July, he expects to gross just over $100,000.

The sales drop is especially tough because Barcus relies on June and July to bring in one third of his annual revenue -- the winter months are slow for Destin's profusion of seasonal businesses.
