The final question is, "Which car seems more worth its price" and the answer has to be "The Mulsanne."
But we have to give enormous credit to Hyundai for undertaking the greater challenge. In Bentley's case, every question of cost could be answered with "Who gives a..."
Go ahead! Pay someone to spend their entire workday sewing the leather onto one steering wheel. Go ahead! Make the hood-release lever out of metal instead of plastic even though, let's face it, it's a hood release lever!
Hyundai's product planners actually had to make decisions. Unfortunately, they decided to spend money on flashy features that, perhaps, should have been spent on higher quality interior materials. For the money you could spend on the Equus, you might rather spend it on a smaller, less feature-filled Mercedes-Benz or BMW and at least feel like you're driving a real luxury car instead of something that comes really close.
Because, lets face it, part of the reason you're driving a luxury car is to remind yourself that you're rich. And the Mulsanne certainly does that in spades.
