The Big Three automakers' top executives have long called Bloomfield Township home. Offering a reprieve from the urban woes of nearby Detroit, the area boasts low crime rates, beautiful neighborhoods and quality outdoor spaces. Affordable apartments, condos and starter homes for young families sit near magnificent estates.

Motown is still in Bloomfield's DNA, however. Residents gather annually for the township's classic car show, where locals pop the hoods on their vintage rides in an event whose proceeds benefit local charities.
