From mountain-climbing to yacht-racing, some big business names are as active in the great outdoors as they are in the boardroom. In honor of summertime, here are six of them.

1. Sally Jewell, REI
Sally Jewell, REI
Recreational Equipment, Inc. -- you know it as REI -- has a CEO who truly lives her company's ethos. Sally Jewell is an avid mountain-climber, skier, snowboarder, and kayaker.

Jewell, 55, spent three weeks this year hiking in Antarctica. And in February, she served as a true representative for Mother Nature when she introduced President Obama at the White House for a talk on the America's Great Outdoors Initiative.
